The APC/president Buhari’s government on the issue of fighting corruption in Nigeria is one-sided. If you are not in All Progressives Congress, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria (an agency most Nigerians believe is working for the cabals to bring down some people who they believe are threats to them) would be hunting you, but the moment you joined the All Progressives Congress and sing their tune, then your sins are forgiven, even as a corrupt politician, no security agency would come after you. Our reason for saying this is that there are so many people who collected huge sums of money from Mr. Sambo Dasuki when they were in the Peoples Democratic Party, and most of those individuals are now members of the All Progressives Congress. Till today, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria has not visited their case files, but look at Dr. Doyin Okupe who is a member of the Labour Party, his case was brought forward and quickly judged and sentenced. There is nothing wrong in sentencing Dr. Doyin Okupe to jail as long as a court of law in Nigeria found him guilty, but the question is, why now? We believe that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria is working as instructed by the cabals, instead of being independent. Somehow, they did that to hurt the Labour Party and Mr. Peter Obi. If not, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria would have long completed Dr. Doyin Okupe’s case. Some time ago, the former Aviation minister Mr. Fani Kayode was accused of embezzling billions of naira given to him to fix the Portharcourt international airport, but the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria is not speaking about it. Mr. Fani Kayode is now a member of the All Progressives Congress, including others with similar cases. If the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria is sincere in its fight against corruption, it should have brought so many questionable characters to book. So many corrupt politicians in the All Progressives Congress were accused of stealing billions of naira belonging to the people of Nigeria, yet the EFCC has not opened their files. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission should not be selective in choosing who to prosecute, such a system is one-sided and bad. It does not give a good image of such an agency and what it intends to achieve. Again, no matter the attacks which the Labour Party and Mr. Peter Obi are receiving at the moment, no human being can pull Mr. Peter Obi down because God has ordained him to be the next president of Nigeria in 2023. Mr. Peter Obi is the shining light of Nigeria. He is going to bring the real change Nigerians have been looking for. Mr. Peter Obi will surely reduce hunger and poverty in Nigeria, if not completely eradicate it. Hence, the Viewers Corner News team is appealing to the people of Nigeria to elect him as the next president of Nigeria in 2023.
