The recent APC rally held in Imo state (Nigeria) which was organized by governor Rochas Okorocha and his group was not so successful. Though, some senior members of All Progressives Congress (APC) attended the occasion, it was also noted that some big names in Imo state (Nigeria) and Southeast who are members of APC were absent at the rally because of the misunderstanding they are having with governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state. Governor Rochas Okorocha believes that whether those APC members in his state (Imo state) who are having issues with him attended the rally or not, APC shall win Imo state (Nigeria). We (Viewers Corner News team) are reminding governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state (Nigeria) that those individuals who did not attend his rally have supporters and if they decide not to vote for APC in the 2019 elections, things may be different, hence we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to him (governor Rochas Okorocha) to make peace with those APC members he is having issues with and get the problem resolved immediately. Another surprising and unfortunate aspect was statements made during the occasion in Imo state (Nigeria), that the only way the Igbos can get ticket to contest for the 2023 presidential election as alleged would be by supporting president Buhari to win the 2019 presidential election, meaning that the political future of the Igbos is in the hands of a particular group of people in Nigeria. Honestly, these statements based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings have generated lots of controversies across the country (Nigeria) most especially in the South East. Statements like this should not have been used if those who made them were knowledgeable enough to know what politics is all about. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also remind them that the political future of anyone or group of people in Nigeria does not rest in the hands of anyone or group of people in the country (Nigeria). Democracy is an open system, honesty and integrity shall take us far when practising this system of government. Again, we (Viewers Corner News team) would plead with those APC members to always choose their words carefully because what you say or do may affect president Buhari’s re-election come 2019. At the moment, lots of people across Nigeria are having bias minds concerning president Buhari’s leadership, factions have been created from various political parties across the country (Nigeria) and those who created them have supporters. Even though those individuals who formed those political parties are very corrupt, still their supporters are always behind them which should not be ignored. Some states across Nigeria which recently turned into killing fields may not vote for APC/president Buhari come 2019 because they lost confidence in his (President Buhari) leadership based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings, so Viewers Corner News team is pleading for a new approach to control and protect the lives of all Nigerians. In 2015, majority of Nigerians voted for president Buhari but as it is now, a percentage of those who voted for him in 2015 are no longer comfortable with the leadership of APC/president Buhari’s government. We (Viewers Corner News team) advise that a new strategy be put in place on how to get those people back and one of the ways of getting them back is through confidence building, reassuring the Nigerian people that the killings going on in the country (Nigeria) must stop and also a new investment plan which would provide jobs for all Nigerians should be put in place. As soon as all the issues mentioned above are properly handled, then everything shall be alright.
