Rejecting the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as the Economic and Financial Crime Commission’s Chairman would not stop him from carrying out his duties, therefore the lawmakers should keep their confirmation to themselves. It is clear now that so many things are involved here perhaps because he has more information to go after some of these lawmakers in the national assembly that is why politics was played in Ibrahim Magu’s confirmation. However whether he is confirmed now or not, he can still continue to do his job the way he has been doing it and since he took up the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s job, he has done remarkably well therefore in our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion, we do not see any reason he should not be confirmed but since the lawmakers has said no then it is well as long as he is not removed from office. He is a very credible person and has recovered lots of stolen funds from some Nigerian politicians which is nice.
