HUAWEI, THE CHINESE LEADING MANUFACTURER OF 5G TECHNOLOGY SUES UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT OVER FEDERAL BAN.

Huawei, the Chinese leading manufacturer of 5G technology has sued United States government over what the company called unfair ban. The company (Huawei) said that it had been unfairly and incorrectly banned as a security threat. The lawsuit will force the United States to make its case against Huawei more public. United States accused Huawei of posing security risk, saying that the company’s equipment could be used by Chinese authorities to spy on communications and disrupt telecommunications networks but Huawei has denied the allegations. In January 2019, the United States Justice Department filed criminal charges against Huawei and banned US government agencies from buying Huawei products or doing business with any company that use Huawei’s equipment. Also Meng Wanzhou (Huawei’s founder daughter and the chief financial officer of the company) was in December 2018 detained in Canada at the request of United States, seeking to extradite her. Meng Wanzhou was in Vancouver court this week for her extradition hearing.
