President Jovenel Moise of Haiti

HAITI, A CARIBBEAN NATION, IS IN SHOCK. THE PRESIDENT WAS ASSASSINATED BY AN UNKNOWN GUNMEN IN HIS HOME.

On Wednesday, 7 July 2021, President Jovenel Moise of Haiti in the Caribbean was assassinated by unknown gunmen in his home in Port-au-Prince, according to Viewers Corner News correspondent in Haiti. Those who carried out this terrible attack were believed to be foreign mercenaries. Perhaps that gave them the advantage to gain access to the residence of President Jovenel Moise of Haiti where he was shot dead. His wife was also shot but in stable condition after being flown to Florida for treatment. Political instability has been the bedrock of Haiti since the existence of that Caribbean nation. In 2017, when President Jovenel Moise was elected to office, he promised to fix Haiti nicely. After a few periods of time in office, he was accused of leading the country astray. In 2019, Haiti’s parliamentary election was pushed forward and President Jovenel Moise began to lead the country like a dictator, using decrees to actualise his ambition. President Jovenel Moise was also accused by the people of Haiti of creating another intelligence agency to change the constitution of Haiti and things got worse. Even when his tenure of office ended according to the constitution of Haiti, President Jovenel Moise extended his leadership to another one year, perhaps as a result of the postponement of the parliamentary election that would have been held early. Again, with the recent assassination of President Jovenel Moise of Haiti, more dangerous armed gangs have now taken over some parts of the country, doing the unthinkable, which is bad.
