GUNMEN KILLED ABOUT TEN PEOPLE IN MOGADISHU (SOMALI) BEACH RESTAURANT.

Viewers Corner News source in Mogadishu (Somali) informed us that about ten people were killed on Thursday when gunmen raided Mogadishu beach restaurant. According to the information, three armed men stormed the beach restaurant in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, seized hostages and equally killed about ten people. Somali elite forces engaged them in a fierce battle and later shot dead two of these attackers and seriously injured one, also about 20 people were rescued by the security forces. The Al-Shabaab (Islamist militant group) have claimed responsibility for the attack saying that they targeted the restaurant because it was frequently visited by foreigners and Somali government officials.
Hotels in Mogadishu (Somali capital) which are most frequently visited by foreigners are often their targets, a hotel in Mogadishu was attacked few months ago (June) by these militants after detonating a car filled with explosives at the gate and 15 people were killed while not less than 25 others were wounded.
