GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO OF KOGI STATE (NIGERIA) IS NOT CONSISTENT IN PAYING WORKERS SALARIES AND PENSIONERS ALLOWANCES IN HIS STATE WHICH SUPPOSEDLY WOULD DISQUALIFY HIM FROM BEING RE-ELECTED TO OFFICE BY THE PEOPLE OF KOGI STATE.

Viewers Corner News team shall continue to speak and defend the voiceless at all times. These are elders whose pension allowances in Kogi state and some states across Nigeria have not been paid for months if not years which is more of our concern. In Kogi state (Nigeria) for example, the federal government of Nigeria gave out bailout funds in the past to pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances. Also the federal government of Nigeria is regularly making sure that monthly allocation gets to Kogi state and other states. Despite all these, pensioners allowances and workers salaries are not promptly paid. It is either governor Yahaya Bello is mismanaging the funds meant for workers and pensioners or it is being embezzled. Sometime ago, it was said that President Buhari issued a statement saying that governors who can not pay workers salaries should not be re-elected to office which is the truth and in the past, we (Viewers Corner News team) also used that for our campaign because it is not right to owe workers and pensioners in any state of the country (Nigeria). These elders have worked throughout their lives and at old age, we (Viewers Corner News team) expect those governors in Nigeria to take care of them properly by paying them their pension allowances. It is their right which they worked for but unfortunately some governors in Nigeria failed to live up to their responsibilities which is bad. Again, governorship election in Kogi state (Nigeria) is getting near and governor Yahaya Bello is soliciting for votes. How possible can that be? It is only when your first tenure in office is good that you can ask for the people of Kogi state to re-elect you. However, we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to the good people of Kogi state (Nigeria) to reassess governor Yahaya Bello’s first tenure before casting their votes for him. The people of Kogi state, the ability to make something good rest on your shoulders if only you all can do the needful. Any governor who can not pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances in his state (Nigeria) has no business being re-elected to office, such governor is a bad news to governance. We (Viewers Corner News team) encourage the people of Nigeria who have such governors in their respective states to vote them out of office and try someone else which is one of the qualities of democracy. Change is the answer until you find the right leader to get things done the right way. We (Viewers Corner News team) shall write more on this topic in our future article and also be on ground in Kogi state (Nigeria) during the voting period in November (2019) to see how the election goes.
