GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO OF KOGI STATE (NIGERIA) HAS REFUSED TO PAY WORKERS’ SALARIES AND PENSIONERS’ ALLOWANCES TOO. HE IS A DISAPPOINTMENT AS A YOUNG MAN AND TO THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA) IN GENERAL. OTHER STATE GOVERNORS IN THIS CATEGORY ARE ALSO INCLUDED.

Salaries of workers and pensioners’ allowances in various states across Nigeria have become a huge problem for governors in the affected states to handle despite the monthly allocation they receive from the federal government for this purpose etc.
We (Viewers Corner News team) would start by appealing to the federal government of Nigeria to kindly look into this issue of none payment of workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances to Nigerian Seniors. This is getting out of hand and the death related illnesses killing workers and pensioners in Nigeria as a result of losing hope of getting what rightfully belong to them can no longer be tolerated. Look at Kogi state and few other states in Nigeria for example, workers have not been paid for months and pensioners are also not paid for years. Under this condition, how can they feed themselves and their families if their only source of income is not getting to them?
Honestly it is better the federal government of Nigeria take over the salary issue of both the workers and pensioners in various states across the country (Nigeria) by deducting the pensioners’ allowances and workers’ salaries from the total amount of what is being given to each state as monthly allocation and pay directly into the workers’ and pensioners’ bank accounts in various states of the federation. Then the balance of what is left out of their monthly allocation can then be given to the states to run their affairs. Perhaps this may solve the problems of none payment of pensioners’ allowances and workers’ salaries because we believe that if that is done, workers and pensioners’ none payment issues would be a thing of the past. We (Viewers Corner News and the Advisory team) feel so sorry for the affected workers and the Nigerian seniors who gave all their lives working to make the country (Nigeria) great and at the end could not get what rightfully belong to them which is their pensions and not getting it is not fair. Honestly this is too bad.
