Did governor Seriake Dickson of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his anointed candidate think that they could win the just concluded governorship election of Bayelsa state? If they believed so, then they are dreaming. Governor Seriake Dickson/Peoples Democratic Party’s led government was given the opportunity by voters in Bayelsa state (Nigeria) to make the state a viable one but they took the voters good intentions for granted, hence they were voted out of office and that is what democracy is all about. No matter the political party leading the state, a change is always necessary if the political party in question is not performing well which is why the people of Bayelsa state voted Peoples Democratic Party’s led government out of office. Such action is highly welcomed and any governor in Nigeria who is unable to pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances, create jobs for the people of his state and build infrastructures in the state has no reason to continue leading the people of his state or impose a candidate to the state. It is only when your work is very good in the state that you can be accepted. Governor Seriake Dickson is a bad leader and should not have been given a second chance to lead the people of Bayelsa state (Nigeria). Again, we (Viewers Corner News team) applaud the people of Bayelsa for doing the right thing by voting governor Seriake Dickson/Peoples Democratic Party’s led government out of office. This is what we (Viewers Corner News team) expected to happen in Kogi state but the people of Kogi state were not properly informed on issues of politics and good governance, hence they were manipulated by governor Yahaya Bello and his group. Viewers Corner News team would also use this opportunity to plead with Mr David Lyon of All Progressives Congress (APC) who is the newly elected governor of Bayelsa to correct the wrong doings of the outgoing administration of governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state by working very hard to improve the welfare of the people of Bayelsa state (Nigeria).
