Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state.

GOVERNOR SAMUEL ORTOM’S STATEMENTS ON OPEN GRAZING AND OTHER NATIONAL ISSUES AS THEY AFFECT NIGERIA ARE THE TRUTH.

It is only when the truth is known and told that the possibility of development will start to come into the system. That is, most Nigerians who are aware of the truth are not speaking out, particularly on open grazing and other national issues for reasons best known to them. The Viewers Corner News team listened extensively to governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state. His stand on open grazing and some national issues are very correct, which any patriotic Nigerian would adhere to. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state is speaking the truth so that Nigeria as a country can move forward, which is why we plead with other state governors in Nigeria to emulate and do the same. Ranching is the best method for those in the cattle business, which is a modern method adopted by many countries in the world. It is healthier for the rearers and more environmentally friendly. It was revealed that some governors in the northern part of Nigeria favour ranching, which is nice. President Buhari’s government allegedly gave a huge amount of money to the Katsina state government, where he comes from, to implement a ranching method. So why has President Buhari’s government not given such money like he did to Katsina state government to other states across Nigeria for ranching? Why still talking about open grazing in other states across the country? This sort of double standard way of doing things has made most governors in Nigeria to believe that President Buhari’s agenda is to favour his Fulani ethnic group in the country. On issues of security, the economy, and a few others, President Buhari’s government has scored below average. Although his government did well in few areas, it is still not enough because the majority of Nigerians voted for President Buhari to correct the past mistakes made by the Peoples Democratic Party’s leadership during 16 years of leading the country. It is quite unfortunate that President Buhari, who the people of Nigeria had high hopes for to fix the economy of the country, has fallen short of what Nigerians had expected of him and his government. Too bad.
