Is like most Governors in Nigeria are confused when it comes to policy implementation, they just sit down and issue statements just like that without proper assessment of their statements. We ask, who is fooling who then?
Our (Viewers Corner) assessment of Governor Rochas Okorocha’s statement is that he has failed his people and does not have what it takes to lead the people of Imo state so that they can come out of the hardship they are into at the moment. We (Viewers Corner) also believe that he is a bit confused, this is a Governor who has not been able to pay the salaries of workers in his state for months and now he is talking about developing and transforming rural areas of the state. We observed that his statement is misleading and time has come for people to point out to most Governors in Nigeria that they can not fool the people anymore, Viewers Corner is advising Governor Rochas Okorocha to please pay the salaries of workers in his state (Imo state) because these are people with families who have worked for months without salaries. How do you expect them to feed and train their children in the school? Normally if the allocations given to Imo state is properly utilized, all the projects in Imo state will surely be executed but when corruption is the order of the day, it becomes very difficult to execute projects.
Again, the idea of developing and transforming rural areas of Imo state is a good one if only it can be possible but we (Viewers Corner) sincerely believe that Governor Rochas Okorocha is just trying to sweet talk the people of the state and may not be able to do it at the end. Therefore, we (Viewers Corner) are pleading that you pay salaries of the workers in your state first because those workers are passing through serious hardships, please use the allocation you are getting properly by creating job opportunities for the people of Imo state and improve on the facilities that can better the lives of the ordinary people in the state, this is what governance is all about.
