What Viewers Corner News and advisory team did not understand is this, how can someone work for a whole month and at the end, his or her salary would not be paid? How possible can that be and how would these individuals feed their families? Now in various states of the country (Nigeria), workers’ salaries have not been paid for months, look at Imo state for example the state broadcasting corporation workers as we gathered have not been paid for about five months. How can this be possible? Somehow when salaries are not paid in the country (Nigeria), the rate of crime could increase and this may be very dangerous because everyone must make a living in other to survive. Again in Imo state of Nigeria, we (Viewers Corner News) believe that governor Rochas Okocha’s inability to plan properly is the reason he is unable to pay workers’ salaries in his state (Imo state). This is a governor who used about 650 million Naira for Christmas decoration alone in December 2015, we regard that as economic waste and lack of foresight to do what is right for the people of his state.
Honestly some of these governors spend hard earned Nigeria Naira recklessly and carelessly on things that are worthless instead of managing the funds properly. Also most of them (Nigerian governors) are those who do not even know how to add two plus two to achieve results so if you elect such individuals as a governor to lead a state, what do you expect? They become confused and run the state down, corruption is also another issue and the only I and my family will eat syndrome which is in their system. Therefore we are appealing to the Nigerian voters to be watchful and examine who you elect to lead or represent you, never use sentiment as a yardstick to vote for any individual because when he or she gets there, the promises made may not be fulfilled. Please vote for someone based on his or her past records, his or her background most probably and he or she may do better.
