Despite the monthly federal allocation coming to Ebonyi state (Nigeria), still governor David Umahi is not satisfied, he instructed his tax force to start collecting taxes from the people of Ebonyi state (Nigeria) at this period of lock down when businesses in the state (Ebonyi state) are facing difficulties. We (Viewers Corner News team) have written articles in the past that governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state is a mistake of a governor, a man without conscience who always think of himself and his family only which is the truth, take it or leave it. Why would any sane governor collect taxes at this period of lock down? In most countries of the world, people are exempted from paying taxes because of the situation at hand. Honestly asking people in Ebonyi state (Nigeria) to pay taxes, knowing fully well that businesses are not functioning properly at this period of lock down is an evil act. Look at governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state (Nigeria) who recently abolished taxes for the low income earners and their businesses in his state, he did so because he knew that it would be difficult for them to pay taxes and also feed their families at this period of coronovirus pandemic. We (Viewers Corner News team) call governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state a great human being for doing so. But look at governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state (Nigeria) taxing his people aggressively, how and where did he want them to get the money to pay taxes at this period of lock down? This is inhumane. We ( Viewers Corner News team) are calling on governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state to stop his tax agents from carrying out such exercise until things get better in the state (Ebonyi state, Nigeria). Again, Viewers Corner News team is advising governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state to learn from governor Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers state (Nigeria) on why collecting taxes at this period of lock down should not be encouraged.
