For some years, Ebonyi state has been a PDP state, meaning that the people of Ebonyi state has been voting for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria to lead them since the creation of the state (Ebonyi state) until recently when governor David Umahi defected to All Progressives Congress (APC) which is now leading the state. When governor David Umahi was in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he used his thugs to terrorise members of All Progressives Congress (APC), calling them all sorts of names. Governor David Umahi was doing so with the backing of the likes of Mr Pius Anyim, Dr Sam Egwu and other PDP big names in Ebonyi state. Governor David Umahi and his former associates in PDP dealt with lots of APC members as at that time but now that governor David Umahi has defected to All Progressives Congress (APC), he has turn around and started using his thugs to terrorise those individuals who were his associates when he was in Peoples Democratic Party, simply because they refused to follow him defect to All Progressives Congress (APC), what a world. Recently, governor David Umahi allegedly ordered that all those Local government chairmen in the state he gave cars that refused to cross over with him to All Progressives Congress (APC) should return those cars immediately. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state is now terrorising those PDP members who were once his best friends which is bad. Governor David Umahi has created more enemies for himself in Ebonyi state than anyone can imagine and in the long run, it may affect him and his political career. Another thing governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state did not understand is that no one would stay in power forever, your tenure of office shall end one day. You would retire to go and meet those individuals you were terrorising while in office as the governor of Ebonyi state.
