Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state can only deceive those living outside the state but majority of those living in Ebonyi state can never be fooled anymore. Now that political activities have started gradually in Ebonyi state, the governor (David Umahi) has come again with tricks to get people to his side but this time, it would not work. The people of Ebonyi state voted for governor David Umahi in 2015 believing that he would continue from where ex-governor Sam Egwu and Chief Martin Elechi stopped but when he took over power, all the promises he made to the people of Ebonyi state were thrown into the trash box. Salaries of workers, Pensioners’ gratuities and allowances which were never owed when the past governments were in power are now being owed by the administration of governor David Umahi. The educational system which the past governments in Ebonyi state made a priority was no longer there, governor David Umahi turned everything upside down. Corruption became his second name, different sort of taxes were imposed on the people of Ebonyi state who have no means of income. Another surprising aspect is that almost all the loans governor David Umahi collected were allegedly diverted to private use making it very difficult for Ebonyi state to grow and now this same governor David Umahi is talking about his government being open to any government agency that would want to probe his administration. We (Viewers Corner News team) would like to remind governor David Umahi that this is an open invitation for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria to visit Ebonyi state anytime they wish which is noted. It is also nice to know that governor David Umahi recognizes president Buhari as his boss but lots of people in Ebonyi state knows for sure why he is saying so. Another important advice for governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state is this; since you are calling God’s name all the time, please try your best to walk towards that direction by paying workers’ salaries in full, by also paying pensioners’ gratuities and allowances in your state and at the same time making sure that the monthly federal allocation for Ebonyi state is spent on infrastructures that would bring benefits to the people of the state. On the other hand, no matter what you (governor David Umahi) do now, the people of Ebonyi state said it is already too late because you neglected them. Therefore, they are going to vote you out of office come 2019, meaning that you shall be a one tenure governor of Ebonyi state.
