Viewers Corner News and the advisory team had a working tour in Ebonyi state recently and our comprehensive analysis of the state shows that governor David Umahi who came to power through manipulations does not care about the welfare of the people whom he claimed voted for him to lead them.
It is unfortunate that a young state like Ebonyi state which would have been governed nicely if it had a caring individual as a governor is being ruled by someone like David Umahi. Sincerely the situation would have been better but with governor David Umahi, we are seeing the opposite.
Recently Governor David Umahi and his kangaroo government carried out demolition of beautiful roundabouts built at the Ebonyi state government house and also the one in front of Ebonyi state hotel. These structures were built by the previous government in a modern style which everyone who had the opportunity of visiting Ebonyi state would always admire, honestly the roundabouts were masterpieces. About six months ago, governor David Umahi renovated the roundabouts with tax payers money and now these same structures are what he demolished few days ago. Even the excavator that carried out the demolition exercise had tough time in pulling the structures down because of how solid the construction of the roundabouts were. Our question is this, why would governor David Umahi destroy such beautiful structures? Right now Viewers Corner News have no answer to this question but only David Umahi knows why he did that or it could also be an opportunity to embezzle funds by creating a huge receipt for demolishing the structure all in the name of wanting to build something else there? In Ebonyi state, there are lots of roads that need to be repaired or constructed but governor David Umahi has chosen not to do so. Even if he decides to work on those bad roads, he is certainly going to use his fake direct labour system to execute the jobs which him and his brothers are the main contractors in the state. This is wickedness and governor David Umahi does not care whether other contractors in Ebonyi state survive or not, all he is interested is the huge amount of money he would grab from the state to his personal pocket. Honestly governor David Umahi has wasted lots of state funds that would have been used to better the lives of the Ebonyi state people. We ask again what did he use state allocations of over 49.9 billion Naira minus bailout fund and other loans he has collected within one year in office to do? Perhaps part of it was used to build his mansion in Abuja and in other places within the country (Nigeria).
Another sad aspect is that salaries of workers are not being paid as it should, gratuities of retired workers have also not been paid, even workers’ annual promotion, none of these are in governor David Umahi’s agenda. He has blocked almost everywhere money would come to the people of his state even the ones who are working can not feed themselves and their families properly because salaries are not being paid regularly. Majority of the workers in the state have resorted to begging, what a sad and terrible situation happening in Ebonyi state. All these problems started in Ebonyi state immediately governor David Umahi took over power as the governor of the state.

We (Viewers Corner News) have written series of articles asking him to think more of the people of Ebonyi state, to work for the benefit of everyone in the state but he ignored everyone’s advice and decides to work for himself and his family alone. Now the message to Ebonyi state people is this, 2019 is going to be here in few years time, we plead with the people of the state to start working towards that aspect of voting for a candidate who would do a good job by caring for the people of Ebonyi state and not someone like governor David Umahi with his terrible tax policies which has brought nothing but pains to the people of the state. Honestly Ebonyi state has lots of capable and credible individuals who would use the available resources in the state to create better conditions for the people, such individuals are there. There should be no another four years term for David Umahi to rule the people again and anyone that would think of voting for governor David Umahi come 2019 would be regarded among those who are trying to bring a young, beautiful and dynamic state backward.
If that happens, it then means another four years of painful system under governor David Umahi which the good people of Ebonyi state would not want to happen. The only thing now is that the Ebonyi state people would have to bear governor David Umahi’s excesses for the remaining few years and make sure he is voted out of office come 2019. We are saying so because as concern citizens of the world, we care about the welfare of every human being worldwide and the pains Ebonyi state people are passing through on daily basis. We would always guide and give advice at all times, this is what we are known for in the world.
