Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state in Nigeria allegedly admitted that they know where the bandits are, and that they live with them in the same community.

This is a very damaging statement that has led us to believe that the insecurity in the northern part of Nigeria is a huge business for a certain group of people. Hence, it can never end. This has made us believe the statement made by the late military leader of Nigeria, General Sani Abacha who said that “any insurgence that lasts for a short period has the backing of the government or some powerful individuals in the society.” Now with the statement of the governor of Zamfara state in Nigeria, saying that they know where the bandits in the northern part of Nigeria are living, even up to saying that they know their parents, is something Nigerians both at home and abroad should be worried about. Meaning that the insecurity in the northern part of Nigeria may not end. Another problem now is, why would the government of Nigeria continue to put the lives of those military men and women of the armed forces of Nigeria in danger. Since the government both at the state and at the federal level knows where the bandits are, they should go after them as soon as possible. Doing so is the only way banditry can end in Nigeria. This is troubling and so sad because human beings are being killed daily and thousands have also been driven out of their homes which is bad. Based on these troubling issues, the Viewers Corner News team is appealing to the government of Nigeria to address this issue of banditry in Nigeria, especially in the northern part of the country. So that the displaced people can go back to their various homes.
