It is said that when an individual who committed an offence truly repents, his or her sins may be forgiven, but in this situation, the repentant Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria can not fully be trusted. These groups of people have different agendas that are hidden and no one can predict their next line of action. Therefore, taking them back in their thousands as they claimed to have repented is a matter of concern. Most Nigerians who spoke to Viewers Corner News correspondents in both Lagos and Abuja did not believe that they have truly repented. These repentant Boko Haram terrorists committed so many atrocities against the people of Nigeria and up till now, a large number of those they drove out of their various homes are still in IDP camps without knowing their faith and when they would go back to their homes. Now those who committed these atrocities are being rehabilitated and perhaps given good treatment while the displaced people are still living in camps. This is absolutely wrong. They should face the law for what they did to their fellow human beings before being admitted into society, which is the right thing any government would do to heal the wounds these repentant criminals inflicted on the good people of Nigeria. Again, the federal government of Nigeria should play safe by being on alert because these repentant Boko Haram terrorists they admitted and welcomed with open arms may turn against the government in the near future. Looking at what is happening in Nigeria today, especially in the northern part of the country, it is a sign that the government of Nigeria should tread carefully with these Boko Haram terrorists who claimed to have repented. Again, do not trust them outright, instead plans should be put in place should changes begin to happen. This is just an advice which should not be ignored.
