During Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State’s first tenure, he was filled with energy and action. But today, he is no longer the same governor Zulum who fought to make his state great. The information coming out from Borno state is nothing good to write about which is so sad. Some Nigerians who spoke with our correspondent in Maiduguri revealed that Governor Babagana Zulum has received so much money from different donors from Nigeria and outside Nigeria. Instead of using the money to build homes so that those in IDP camps who were driven out of their homes, either by flood or insecurity will go back to their homes, instead those people till today cannot get accommodation from the Borno state government. They are also not properly cared for as alleged, which is so sad. We were also informed that all the money donated, so far, when put together can solve all the problems of the displaced people of Borno state. We are therefore appealing to Governor Babagana Zulum to maintain his beautiful records which Nigerians knew him for when he took over power. We also want him to understand that we are not accusing him of corruption, but let the needful be done and done urgently because the people of Borno state are seriously in need of help. So let the good work of resettling the displaced people of Borno state begin as soon as possible.
