German authorities have identified the Munich mall shooter as 18-year-old German-Iranian, Ali David Sonboly. Viewers Corner News correspondent in Germany gathered that nine people were shot dead while about 27 people were injured. Also the shooter’s (Ali David Sonboly) body was found a kilometre away from the shopping centre and reports had it that Sonboly shot himself on the head after the Friday shooting rampage at Olympia-Einkaufszentrum (OEZ) shopping mall in Munich. Initially police thought that three gunmen carried out the attack but it was later confirmed that the attack was carried out by a lone gunman (Ali David Sonboly) who was obsessed with mass killings. Police reported that Sonboly hacked into a young woman’s Facebook account and lured his victims to a McDonalds, promising free food. He was armed with a 9mm Glock and 300 rounds of ammunition which he loaded in the toilet before opening fire on helpless young people. Police also reported that the teen shooter had undergone psychiatric treatment before the attack and was obsessed with mass killings, he had a book in his bag titled “why students kill”.
