Kenneth Fults, a Georgia death row inmate who murdered his neighbour during a burglary in 1996 has been executed. According to report our correspondent gathered, Kenneth Fults (47-year-old inmate) shot his neighbour (19-year-old Cathy Bounds) dead during a burglary in January 1996, he was sentenced to death by a jury in 1997. His lawyers asked the U.S. Supreme Court to stop the execution and consider arguments that a juror (Thomas Buffington) who imposed the sentence was motivated by racial bias.
On Tuesday, April 12, Kenneth Fults was executed at 7:37 p.m. by barbiturate pentobarbital injection at the state prison in Jackson. Kenneth Fults was the fourth person to be executed in Georgia this year (2016). Daniel Lucas, another Georgia inmate is to be executed on April 27, 2016.
