FOUR CONVICTED ISLAMIC MILITANTS WERE ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 2, 2018 EXECUTED BY EGYPT OVER 2015 BOMB ATTACK.

Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that four Islamic militants convicted over 2015 bomb attack which killed three military academy students and wounded six others have been executed. These militants were convicted by a military tribunal and they were executed on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at a prison in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria. According to the report, the bomb attack occurred outside a stadium in the city of Nile Delta (Kafr el-Sheikh) as the military cadets were waiting for a bus to take them to the academy. The execution makes it 19 convicted Islamic militants executed over the past week. On December 26, 2017, Egyptian authorities executed 15 Islamic militants after they were convicted and sentenced to death by a military court over a 2013 attack on a military checkpoint in the Sinai Peninsula which killed a police officer and eight soldiers. Egypt has experienced series of attacks by the Islamic militants and President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi vowed to use brute force to crush the insurgency in the country.
