The 26-year-old American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has become the highest paid celebrity at her tender age according to Forbes magazine, she has pulled $170 million from June 2015 to June 2016 doubling her last year earnings of $80 million. The “Shake It Off” singer is known for narrative songs about her personal experiences and she has been honoured by the Nashville Songwriters Association and Songwriters Hall of Fame. Also Swift has won 11 Country Music Association Awards, ten Grammy Awards, 8 Academy of Country Music Awards, one Emmy Award, 22 Billboard Music Awards and one Brit Award. She earned more than other famous musicians like Bruce Springsteen ($60.5 million), Adele ($80.5 million), Rihanna ($75 million), Madonna ($76.5 million) and Katy Perry who earned $135 million last year but dropped to number 63 on this year’s list with $41 million earnings).
Following Taylor Swift, the second highest paid musician on the Magazine’s this year list is the boy band One Direction with $110 million earnings, followed by an American author, James Patterson with $95 million earnings. On the Hollywood list, Jennifer Lawrence becomes the highest-paid actress for the second consecutive year and Actor Dwayne Johnson is the highest paid actor on the list. Some athletes who also made the list includes Sebastian Vettel (German race car driver) with earnings of $41 million, Roger Federer (Swiss professional tennis player) with $68 million earnings and Cristiano Ronaldo (Portuguese footballer) with $88 million earnings.
