EXPLOSION HIT CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA, CALABAR BRANCH AND MANY PEOPLE WERE BURNT BEYOND RECOGNITION.

Viewers Corner’s correspondent who visited the scene of the explosion at the Central Bank of Nigeria’s premise in Calabar (located at Calabar Road by the Millennium Park) reported that not less than twenty people were severely burnt beyond recognition while others sustained third degree burns. As at the time of this report, the cause of the explosion is still unknown. The rescue operation team are doing their best to ensure that many staff and visitors who were trapped at the main edifice of the bank were rescued. Also many have been taken to the emergency unit of University Teaching Hospital, Calabar.
