The Viewers Corner News team did not see this announcement of investigating ex-president of Ghana as a surprise. We already knew that the investigation would come as soon as the newly elected president of Ghana takes over the leadership of the country. Ex-president Nana Akufo Addo of Ghana was a puppet of the West, always dancing to their tune. But now that a serious leader of Ghana has been elected, we believe that things will change for good. Look at the cathedral that ex-president Nana Akufo Addo of Ghana allegedly spent millions of dollars to launch; today the site of that cathedral has become a swimming pool, and all the millions of dollars spent on that failed project are now a waste. But in Burkina Faso, the military leader, who is Capt. Ibrahim Traore, spent about 12 million dollars to build a huge tomato industry where lots of people from Burkina Faso are working, compared to ex-president Nana Akufo Addo of Ghana, who spent millions of dollars to launch the establishment of a failed cathedral. This is corruption in the highest order. This same ugly system is also happening in most African countries where leaders would steal money that would have been used to build infrastructures for the people of their various countries and use it for their personal gains. So, if the newly elected president of Ghana decides to investigate ex-president Nana Akufo Addo of Ghana, then that would be nice, and if he is found guilty, he should be made to serve a very long jail term, which would serve as a lesson to other would-be leaders in Ghana and also across Africa. It would also teach them that there shall be consequences when money is embezzled and spent recklessly. Gone are those days when leaders of Africa would steal public money believing that no one would ask them to account for it. The time of accountability has come, and there is no going back on that.
