When ex-governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State was leaving office, he brought a ‘yes yes’ man whom he thought could cover his dirty tracks and also do what he would want him to do. Initially, the governor of Kogi State, Mr. Ahmed Usman Ododo, spoke nicely of ex-governor Yahaya Bello. He even went as far as to say that if he gives an order and ex-governor Yahaya Bello issues an order, they should ignore his own and take ex-governor Yahaya Bello’s order. What a loyal servant! Right now, both governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and ex-governor Yahaya Bello have started having issues. Ex-governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is a very corrupt man who would want to hold on to power. Nigerians saw how he wanted to take away the senatorial seat from the rightful winner in Kogi State and give it to his choice of candidate, but in the end, ex-governor Yahaya Bello failed completely, and the woman reclaimed her seat through the court of law in Nigeria. However, ex-governor Yahaya Bello’s manipulative agenda in Kogi State has already ended because a new governor is now in charge, and there is nothing ex-governor Yahaya Bello can do about it. Again, there are so many ex-governors and serving governors, like ex-governor Yahay Bello in Nigeria. We are hoping that someday a great leader of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria shall be appointed, and when that time comes, ex-governor Yahaya Bello and the likes of him shall be put on trial. If they are convicted, they should be made to serve a very long jail term, which will serve as a lesson to other political thieves in Nigeria.
