EX-GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA ALLEGEDLY PRAISED HIMSELF FOR LEAVING BEHIND ABOUT 48.1 BILLION NAIRA FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF GOVERNOR EMEKA IHEDIOHA. WHAT OF THE HUGE DEBT LEFT BEHIND, WORKERS SALARIES AND PENSIONERS ALLOWANCES WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN PAID?

As far as Viewers Corner News team is concerned, ex-governor Rochas Okorocha performed below expectation while in office which is the truth, take it or leave it. We (Viewers Corner News team) are saying so taken into consideration the huge amount of money he received from the federal government of Nigeria as allocation to put Imo state (Nigeria) in a better position. This is a man (Rochas Okorocha) who could not pay workers salaries and pensioners allowances consistently when he was in office but spent huge part of Imo state allocation on irrelevant projects in his state (Imo state, Nigeria). In our (Viewers Corner News team) analyzes, he failed completely to get the job done correctly in Imo state. Recently it was alleged that ex-governor Rochas Okorocha left behind about 48.1 billion Naira for the government of governor Emeka Ihedioha which is alright but it was also alleged that Imo state government under ex-governor Rochas Okocha was owing about 100 billion Naira debt which is huge.

If you examine this issue properly, he did not leave anything behind because if you remove what he (ex-governor Rochas Okorocha) claimed to have left behind for the government of governor Emeka Ihedioha which is about 48.1 billion Naira from 100 billion Naira debt allegedly owed, it then means that Imo state is still owing debt of over 50 billion Naira. What about the pensioners allowances and workers salaries, have they been settled before ex-governor Rochas Okorocha left office? However, the government of governor Emeka Ihedioha would have lots of debts to carry which would affect his performance in the short run but with careful planning, most especially not spending on irrelevant projects like ex-governor Rochas Okorocha did while in office, governor Emeka Ihedioha would get the job properly done. We (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to governor Emeka Ihedioha to understand that the first and best project any governor in Nigeria would undertake for the people of his state is making sure that workers salaries and pensioners allowances are properly paid as at when due. Create jobs and other amenities for the people of Imo state which would enable them live comfortable life, this is part of what good governance is all about.
