We (the Viewers Corner News team) have studied ex-governor Peter Obi’s leadership system when he was the governor of Anambra state. His leadership style then, which was so narrow, would not move Nigeria forward if he is allowed to lead Nigeria. Leadership at the federal level is a different ball game and requires a whole lot of things. It is true that ex-governor Peter Obi cut the cost of governance in Anambra state. He saved some money for Anambra state. He also paid workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances properly, which are all pass marks for him, but real investment for the advancement of Anambra state was not carried out by his administration, taking into consideration the huge revenues coming into the state. These projects are what would move any state forward. He should have built a world-class hospital in the state and many more, but ex-governor Peter Obi did not do that after eight years in office. Ex-governor Willie Obiano built a world-class cargo and international airport in Anambra state, which is great and he will always be remembered for that. The Viewers Corner News team is appealing to ex-governor Peter Obi to loosen up a bit on his system of leadership if he eventually wins the mandate of his political party, which would enable him to vie for the post of president of Nigeria. Then everything else would fall in line. Again, ex-governor Peter Obi may be the best candidate among all those contesting to lead Nigeria under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria.
