Eric Parker (26 years old) was serving as a police officer in Madison, Alabama in U.S until February 6, 2015 when a video of him was captured where he threw a 58-year-old Indian man to the ground which left the man badly injured. Sureshbhai Patel, a 58-year-old Indian man who came to help his son’s family in Northern Alabama to care for his son’s young child was walking in the morning when Eric Parker threw him to the ground with force (though the cause of that was not mentioned).
The police department released the video and Eric Parker’s appointment as a police officer has been recommended for termination by the Madison police department. Eric Parker was charged with misdemeanor assault in a State court, his trial and appointment termination proceedings are on hold pending the outcome of the federal case according to our source in Alabama.
