ELEVEN NEW BORN BABIES WERE REPORTED DEAD IN THE DEADLY BLAZE IN BAGHDAD HOSPITAL.

The deadly blaze at the maternity ward of a Baghdad hospital has claimed the lives of eleven new born babies. According to the information our correspondent gathered, the blaze which was suspected to be caused by faulty electrical wiring occurred at the maternity ward of Yarmouk hospital in western Baghdad (Iraq) killing 11 new born babies. This is unfortunate, the angry relatives of the victims who gathered outside the hospital blamed the government for the tragedy. The other 29 female patients and about 11 babies who were rescued have been transferred to other hospitals according to report.
In Baghdad, the incidents of electrical fires is common due to poor wiring and maintenance. Most of the construction companies and those providing building material in Baghdad and across the country (Iraq) fail to follow accepted standards due to corruption and mismanagement.
