Viewers Corner News was rightly informed that some elders in Niger delta region are saying that the federal government of Nigeria have no reason to attack the militants in that part of the country (Nigeria) and they are not going to fold their hands and watch the Nigerian military attack their children. Viewers Corner News team is appealing to those elders in that part of the country to caution their children by asking them to stop vandalizing and destroying the federal government facilities. This is not right, they should take the road to peace. Again where were those elders when their children picked up arms against their father’s land? Honestly some of these elders in Niger delta area of the country are double standard kind of individuals, now that the federal government of Nigeria is trying to stop their children who are believed to be the militants from destroying the nation’s property then the elders are saying that they should not do so.
We (Viewers Corner News) have written articles concerning this Niger delta issue in the past and now we are doing so again by pleading with the elders in Niger delta region to please ask their children to seek peace instead of aggression. They should also remember that their families are the ones living in that part of the country and as they keep destroying the oil pipelines, they are creating environmental problems which would take many years to clean up and the health conditions of those living in that part of the country (Nigeria) may be at risk.
