EGYPT SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH SIEMENS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HIGH SPEED TRAIN LINE.

It was reported that Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday, 14 January 2021 with Siemens (a German multinational company) for the construction of high-speed train line. The electric rail line project which worth $23 billion would link Egypt’s eastern and northern coasts. It would run from Ain Sokhna on the Red Sea to New Alamein on the Mediterranean coast and pass through a new capital under construction in the desert east of Cairo.
