DUE TO QUACK, GREEDY AND UNQUALIFIED MEDICAL PERSONNEL RUNNING SOME PRIVATE CLINICS/HOSPITALS IN NIGERIA, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND NIGERIA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS FACT.

We (Viewers Corner News team) have written articles on this subject in the past and we are doing so again because the welfare of every human being means a lot to us. We shall continue to bring this matter out as it affects humanity, our recent findings in Portharcourt (Nigeria) revealed that some private clinics/hospitals there have caused lots of damages to some people who were admitted in those quack clinics/hospitals because of lack of qualified personnel. Most of those clinic/hospitals engaged the services of quack medical personnel to handle sensitive issues which should not have been so in medical field, we are talking of human lives here. Few months ago someone who was very sick in Portharcourt (Nigeria) decided to go to a private clinic in that city (Porthracourt), on getting there he was diagnosed as having typhoid and malaria. The doctor prescribed 14 injections and some tablets to be taken which the patient took as directed by the doctor but the sickness refused to go. Then that sick person went to another clinic where he was diagnosed as having peptic ulcer and not typhoid and malaria as the first doctor made him to believe, since then the tablets for peptic ulcer which was given to him by the doctor who discovered that the man has peptic ulcer is working nicely and as we write this article, the patient is getting better. Now our question is this, why would a private clinic/hospital in Portharcourt (Nigeria) (name with held) prescribed up to 14 injections for an individual for a short period of time? This is not normal and very wrong, therefore we are appealing to the people of Nigeria to mind the type of private clinics/hospitals they seek help from when they are ill because if for example you have an ordinary illness and a quack doctor prescribed wrong medication, this could be very dangerous and can cause death. We recommend that people seek medical attention from government/teaching hospitals or a well known private clinic/hospital with good past record because most government hospitals/teaching hospitals in Nigeria which we (Viewers Corner News team) visited recently have good medical equipment to run a complete test on any patient before prescribing any form of medicine. Having said this, we (Viewers Corner News team) would also use this opportunity to appeal to the federal government of Nigeria to take health issues serious, purchase more equipment and give to various government hospitals in the country (Nigeria) because when citizens are healthy, it then means that the country itself is healthy. There are lots of benefits that would come to the country (Nigeria) through this process, we should also remember that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation.
