The speech was a very powerful one but our question is this, in your capacity as the finance minister (Okonjo Ngozi Iweala) of Nigeria as at that time, why were you not able to advise ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to adopt such saving’s method that worked when you were in Obasanjo’s government? Even though the price of petroleum product was not steady then but it can never be compared to the lowest rate we have now in the world market or are you saying that the cabals and ex-president Goodluck Jonathan would not have listened to your advice if any was given to them? Or you decided to follow the system instead of raising alarm which means if you can not beat them, then you join them, most probably that was what you did. Now it is very clear at this point that peoples democratic party of Nigeria ruined the economy of Nigeria like we have always been saying. Another problem is that some Nigerians are unable to see the terrible damages done to the economy of Nigeria by peoples democratic party (P.D.P), most probably because of sentiments and softness some group of individuals attached to those corrupt P.D.P members may be the reasons they are not condemning the mess they created which brought the country backward. Some people are blaming president Buhari’s government for not being able to turn the economy around but most of them fail to understand the enormity of the problems president Buhari and his government inherited from Goodluck Jonathan’s government, even president Buhari himself did not know the level of destruction done to the Nigerian economy by peoples democratic party (P.D.P) before he took over power.
Honestly, P.D.P/Goodluck Jonathan’s led government was the worst government Nigeria ever had after gaining her independence from Britain in 1960 including that of Shehu Shagari of the 80s, this is too bad. The good thing is that peoples democratic party of Nigeria was voted out of office, if not no one would have known the outcome of where Nigeria would be today because those cabals really destroyed the economy but God Almighty decided to intervene by bringing president Buhari to do the clean up and he is doing what any good government that has no starting point would do. Therefore we (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) plea with Nigerians to assist president Buhari’s government so that at the end success can be achieved.
