Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, the 85 year old Nigeria former vice president is dead. Ex vice president Ekwueme died on Sunday night, November 19, 2017 at London hospital after suffering from chest infection according to the information our correspondent gathered. The sad news was confirmed by Alex Ekwueme’s younger brother and tradional ruler of Oko community in Anambra state (Nigeria), HRH, Prof. Laz Ekwueme. He was admitted at Enugu hospital where he suffered stroke before the federal government ambulance aircraft flew him to London. Dr Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme (GCON) was the former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1979 with Alhaji Shehu Shagari as President in Nigeria second republic.
