No doubt that James Ibori who just returned to Nigeria after serving a jail term in a London prison for corruption related offenses may be a good man based on the information we (Viewers Corner News team) received from those that are very close to him but our take on this is that the Delta state government is spending an outrageous sum of money (350 million Naira) on this project that will not bring any economic development to the people of Delta state. In our opinion we regard this as a complete waste of money, Delta state is lacking behind in certain areas of development and with this huge sum of money (350 million Naira), it can go a long way in fixing some of those problems in the state instead of spending it only to welcome Jame Ibori (the former governor of Delta state) who has been in a London prison for a while and is back to Nigeria. However no matter the advice given to the state government on this issue, the final decision is theirs to make but it would always be good to spend wisely on issues such as this. We (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) discourage wasteful spending of any sort which is not channeled towards economic growth or towards the ordinary people of the state/country. Every government should spend wisely and make sure that all her citizens are well cared for, it should not be a one sided affair.
