DIPLOMACY AND DIALOGUE ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A LASTING PEACE IN NIGER DELTA REGION, PRESIDENT BUHARI APPOINTING RETIRED GENERAL BABAGANA MONGUNO TO LEAD THE WAY IS A WELCOME NEWS

We (Viewers Corner News) condemn the use of violence as a means to settle disputes because achieving peace through this method may not be the best option and by then, lots of damages may have been done just like we observed in the Niger delta region of the country (Nigeria). Again sending the Nigerian army in that Niger delta area seems to have escalated tension there which is not right but now that president Buhari has appointed his National Security Adviser (retired general Babagana Moguno) to lead the way and find a lasting solution for peace in that area of the country is a welcome news.
We (Viewers corner news) quite agree with the Niger delta group for demanding a better life for the  people living in that region but what we disagree with them is the use of force to achieve their objectives because the damages done to those pipeline have create a very dangerous environmental problem for people living there. Right now the health situation of those individuals may be at risk, these are human beings that deserve the best from their leaders and not creating problems for them, we pray and hope that peace would return to that region (Niger Delta). Again we (Viewers corner news) would use this opportunity to appeal to any other group in the country to kindly seek peace through dialogue as a means to resolve whatever problems they may have with the federal government of Nigeria, fighting can never bring a lasting solution even if it does, the impact created in those affected areas through bombing of various government facilities would take a whole life time to be repaired. Please take diplomacy and dialogue as a way of life, it helps to overcome major problems of life.
