Isa Pantami

Did the ex-minister of communication and digital economy of Nigeria, Dr. Isa Pantami, scam Nigerians with his SIM-NIN link program?

The idea of having all Nigerians link SIM to their NIN is for easy identification purposes. But those who brought such a program did not do their homework properly before implementing it. The idea was great, but poorly implemented. Our point is that the ex-minister of communication and digital economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, might have scammed Nigerians because, despite the huge amount of money invested in this project and the frustration Nigerians went through, the program could not achieve the objectives it was meant for, which has given Nigerians reason to call the program a scam. If it is not a scam, there is no way such an identification method could be operating, and Nigeria as a country still has a crime rate on the increase. The people of Nigeria are being killed on a daily basis by terrorists and bandits. There are kidnappings going on across Nigeria, and kidnappers are using their phones to demand ransoms without being caught. This is unacceptable. We also believe that since all the SIM cards are linked to the NIN of every Nigerian, it makes it easier to identify criminals and bring them to justice, except if the government of Nigeria is not telling Nigerians the truth. We are therefore appealing to the government of Nigeria to fish out those behind these horrible crimes in the country and have them punished. Again, it is the responsibility of the government of Nigeria to safeguard the lives and properties of the people of Nigeria. As it is now, the international community regards Nigeria as one of the most unsafe countries in the world. With such a remark, no investor would like to come to Nigeria to invest. Hence, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on the government of Nigeria to do the needful.
