Sambo Dasuki is among those that ruined the country (Nigeria) and the offence he allegedly committed is as good as treason. His actions when he was the security adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan was terrible, he is among those that believed no one in Nigeria would ever probe them and also belongs to the class of untouchables in Nigeria. Again, because of his alleged atrocities lots of Nigerian soldiers lost their lives and instead of rendering apology to the Nigerian people for causing them terrible pains, he decided to carry the case to a West African court. This is not right, where is our conscience and the West African court without properly evaluating the issue and the damages done to the country (Nigeria) decided to play holy by favouring Sambo Dasuki. The action taken by Nigerian government not to release him (Sambo Dasuki) is quite appropriate, this has nothing so much to do with his fundamental human rights, no because Sambo Dasuki caused the death of lots of Nigerian soldiers directly or indirectly. If he had purchased the weapon he was given money to purchase, may be boko haram issue would have been solved when he was in power but he chose to share the money among his corrupt associates therefore he has to be in prison until his case is decided. However we (Viewers Corner News team) would use this opportunity to plead with the West African court to join hands in pleading to other African leaders who have been in power for many years and refused to step down as the constitution of their various countries demanded which is more important issue to address than Sambo Dasuki’s case. There are lots of areas that the West African court can work on which would bring benefits to the continent of Africa, the court should leave Nigeria alone to handle corruption issues as it should be because is one of the reasons the country (Nigeria) is not moving forward nicely.
