Anambra state government house

Despite the monthly allocations and the internally generated revenues of Anambra State (Nigeria), past leaders of the state were unable to build a standard hospital in the state.

Past governors of Anambra state in Nigeria led the state for eight years each, except for ex-governor Chris Ngige. Within these years of leadership, none of them were able to build a standard hospital in the state. Anambra state in Nigeria is one of the most viable states in the country. It is a business hub where billions of Naira are generated on a daily basis. Our point is that it is either that those governors who led Anambra state in the past were corrupt or they had no idea as to what was best for the people of the state. Recently, ex-governor Willie Obiano was arrested as he was about to leave Nigeria after handing over power to the newly elected governor of Anambra state (Professor Charles Soludo). According to the information the Viewers Corner News correspondent in Lagos gathered, ex-governor Willie Obiano allegedly has a prostate problem. Normally, this type of medical condition affects the majority of men and should not have been a problem if a state government in Nigeria valued the lives of the people and built a standard hospital in the state. Instead, these corrupt leaders in Nigeria would prefer to steal money from the treasuries of their various states and send it abroad where their health problems can be treated, which is bad. Although ex-governor Willie Obiano built an international cargo and passenger airport, which is nice, it is still not enough compared to the allocations and the internally generated revenues which go into the treasury of Anambra state on a monthly basis. Therefore, the Viewers Corner News team applauds the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria for not allowing ex-governor Willie Obiano out of Nigeria. If he truly is having medical problems, he should look for a hospital in Nigeria and have his illness treated. Again, this will serve as a lesson to other leaders in Nigeria who refuse to build hospitals, including other infrastructure, for the people of their various states across Nigeria.
