DEMOCRACY IS AT WORK IN MYANMAR, PARLIAMENT HAS AGREED TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MINISTRIES IN THE COUNTRY TO SAVE COST.

This is a good beginning for the country Myanmar, the parliament recently voted to reduce the number of ministries in the country because most ministries are doing the same job at a time which is duplication. With this method of reducing the number of ministries in the country, they would be able to save cost up to the tune of 4 million dollars which is a brave move. Again the newly elected president, Htin Kyaw who would officially resume duty on April , 2016 has promised all the staff of the ministries that no one would lose his or her job on this process of restructuring the ministries to make it look viable and more satisfying.
Myanmar is a country ruled in the past by military juntas with all their harsh laws. Honestly Myanmar parliament did the right thing by first identifying where the problem is and then trying to find solution to it. Viewers Corner also gathered that more reforms would be carried out in due time. We pray and hope that the Aung San Suu Kyi party that formed the government in the country (Myanmar) after winning the general election in a grand style which brought them to power would continue to be the people’s voice in Myanmar as they promised so that the hope of the ordinary man in the country can be restored back to normalcy. This is the essence of democracy.
