Coy Wesbrook, a 58-year-old Texas man who shot his ex-wife (Gloria Coons) and four others in 1997 has been executed. According to Coy Wesbrook’s testimony in the court, he went to his ex-wife house for reconciliation and met her having sex with another man so he shot her and four others (Antonio Cruz, Ruth Money, Anthony Rogers and Kelly Hazlip) with a hunting rifle. Coy Wesbrook was executed on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 by lethal injection at the state’s death chamber in Huntsville and he was pronounced dead at 8:04 p.m. His execution was the 535th in Texas since 1976 when the United States Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty.
