George Miguel Tiaffay, a former Las Vegas fire fighter was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus more than 30 years for hiring a four-time convicted felon, Noel Scott Stevens to kill his estranged wife, Shauna Tiaffay.
According to report, Shauna Tiaffay was murdered on September 2012 with a wooden hammer when she came back from her night shift at Palms Casino Hotel where she worked as a cocktail server by Noel Scott Stevens whom her husband hired.
Judge Eric Johnson, Clark County District Court said that Scott Stevens who pleaded guilty to the crime confessed that George Miguel Tiaffay promised to pay him $5,000 for the killing and equally instructed him to use a fiberglass hammer during the attack because wooden hammer might break. Scott Stevens told the court that he later used a wooden hammer and hit Shauna Tiaffay several times until she died. This is horrible!
