Viewers Corner was informed by our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria has ordered federal government of Nigeria to release Sambo Dasuki’s international passport to enable him travel abroad for his medical check-up. Sambo Dasuki (former national security adviser during Goodluck Jonathan’s administration) whose travelling passport was seized on September 1, 2015 after granting him bail told the court through his lawyer, Joseph Daodu that the seizure of his passport has made him to fail his appointment which he had with his doctor abroad and begged the court to order for the release of his passport so that he could meet up with his medical check up.
The judge, Adeniyi Ademola granted his request and told his lawyer to sign an undertaking promising to produce Sambo Dasuki on his trial day.
The decision whether the federal government will try Sambo Dasuki secretly which was filed by the prosecuting counsel, Mohammed Diri was adjourned to November 26, 2015.
