Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state and governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state (who is a double face governor) are among those governors in Nigeria who have chosen to end the freedom of the press in their respective states based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings. Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state recently slammed terrorism charges on a lawyer for criticizing him and his government. Mr Agba Jalingo who is a journalist is still in custody with all sorts of charges placed on his head for criticizing governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state. It was also alleged that some online media outfits in Nigeria were sent out of national assembly of Nigeria because they are not recognized by law to cover some proceedings of the national assembly. What this means is that the press which stands as the voice of the people would no longer operate freely in the country (Nigeria). Viewers Corner News team would want to remind those victimizing the press that in any democratic system of government, freedom of the press is allowed and no one has the right to stop the press from carrying out its duties. Again, governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state was accused of diverting about 500 million Naira state micro finance bank money and he would not want the people of Nigeria to know about it. Governor Ben Ayade, always remember that some day your tenure of office shall end, then begins accountability process. Perhaps that would be when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria shall invite you for a chat, hopefully when that time comes, the whole truth would be told.
