CONTRACTORS IN NIGERIA WHO WERE AWARDED CONTRACTS IN THE SOUTH EAST TO CONSTRUCT FEDERAL ROADS IN THE PAST AND LATER ABANDONED THE PROJECTS AFTER THEY MIGHT HAVE COLLECTED THE MONEY FOR THE JOB WOULD FACE THE FULL WEIGHT OF THE LAW SOON. THIS IS A WELCOME NEWS.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) learned that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would soon descend on those federal road contractors who allegedly were awarded contracts in the past to construct federal roads in the south east of the country (Nigeria) which they allegedly collected money for and abandoned the road projects in a more dangerous and humiliating conditions. This system of abandoning projects by ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s government in the past after money has been collected and probably shared among members should not be a surprise to majority of Nigerians. Even the River Niger bridge issue which ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration commissioned under his leadership before president Buhari came to power was history which president Buhari’s government is trying to reassign including other abandoned projects by ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s past government. We (Viewers Corner News team) appreciate the efforts of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission under the leadership of president Buhari in trying to bring those alleged swindlers (contractors) to book. Now if anyone is paid to do a job, it must be done and collecting huge sums of money without doing the project for which that money was meant for should be regarded as a serious crime. Now that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would have a look at the files of those federal road projects to know exactly what went wrong, it should be regarded as a relief to majority of Nigerians. Honestly the number of Nigerian lives being lost on those bad federal roads on daily basis in the south east is so alarming based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings which is so terrible. Even the contractors who were awarded the contracts and later abandoned those projects are also making use of the roads. Now our question is this, who in this world would not like good things and how can some group of people (contractors and their conspirators) use their own hands to destroy their own homes? Up till now, this is what Viewers Corner News and the advisory team can not find answers to and all these happened under the leadership of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration which president Buhari and his government are working very hard to fix. Again without missing words, president Buhari who is God sent to Nigeria with his team shall surely get the job done which we are confident about, therefore all Nigerians should kindly give his administration all the necessary supports they need to pull through to make the country (Nigeria) great.
