It was reported that China and Nepal signed more than ten (10) agreements involving technology, transportation, infrastructure and political cooperation during Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli (Nepali Prime Minister) visit to Beijing recently. One of these bilateral contracts signed is China building a railway which will connect Xigaze (western region of Tibet) with Kathmandu (Nepal capital). The information was posted on China’s official government website (http://www.gov.cn) and it also stated that China and Nepal would work together to build a cross-Himalayan connectivity network through aviation, trading ports, highways and telecommunications.
