CHINA ARRESTED XU ZHANGRUN, A LAW PROFESSOR WHO CRITICISED PRESIDENT XI JINPING OVER CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.

It was reported that a law professor Xu Zhangrun was on Monday arrested by Chinese authorities for criticising President Xi Jinping over coronovirus pandemic. Xu Zhangrun, a law professor at Tsinghua University published essays in February criticising President Xi Jinping over the coronavirus pandemic and his efforts to consolidate power. According to our source, Xu Zhangrun was taken from his home in suburban Beijing by China’s authorities who were more than 20 people. In China, freedom of expression has always been controlled by the Communist Party, but has become worse under President Xi Jinping’s government.
