CHIEF RAYMOND DOKPESI, THE FOUNDER OF DAAR COMMUNICATIONS PLC AND OWNER OF AIT AND RAYPOWER FM WAS ARRAIGNED AT THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT, ABUJA BY EFCC.

Viewers Corner News got report that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the founder of Daar Communications PLC on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Federal High Court, Abuja (Nigeria) on a six-count charge of money laundering and fraud-related procurement. According to report, Chief Dokpesi who is also the the owner of African Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower FM was accused of collecting 2.1 billion naira from the Office of the National Security Adviser between October 2014 and March 2015 from the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Media Campaign which is in breach of provisions of the Public Procurement Act, Money laundering Act and the EFCC Act. He was also arraigned along with his company, Daar Investment and Holdings Ltd. After pleading not guilty to the charges, Justice Gabriel Kolawole ordered that Chief Dokpesi be remanded in EFCC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on Thursday, December 10, 2015. Viewers Corner News was also informed that his trial was fixed on February 17th -18th and March 2nd – 3rd, 2016. It is not business as usual for the untouchables in Nigeria.
