Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Enugu (Nigeria) informed us that the ex-governor (Chief Martin Elechi) of Ebonyi state has decamped to All Progressives Congress (APC). His decision for joining the party (APC) is a good one, even though he was a strong member of P.D.P but now he has made a great choice by saying goodbye to Peoples Democratic Party (P.D.P) of Nigeria. Chief Martin Elechi is a great man and during his tenure as the governor of Ebonyi state, he did well but somewhere along the line he took wrong advice from governor David Umahi (who was his deputy then) to victimize some of those good people that worked in his government based on our findings. However all these are in the past now, what everyone in Ebonyi state is looking forward to is to have a good person from the state who would take over from governor David Umahi because his leadership system is not favouring the people of Ebonyi state. We therefore pray and hope that Chief Martin Elechi who has just joined the party of the progressives (APC) would sincerely work with those in the party to achieve victory come 2019 so that the people of Ebonyi state can live comfortably. Again we would use this opportunity to plead with him (Chief Martin Elechi) to heal the past wounds of those whom governor David Umahi led him into when he was taking advice from him which brought lots of misunderstandings among the good people of Ebonyi state. Again for the members of Ebonyi state APC to have organized a thanksgiving service in the church for president Buhari’s survival shows that the people of Ebonyi state are with him (president Buhari) and also wish him well which is very nice.
